6 Mar 2009
Nisai Group, the UK’s leading provider of innovative online learning solutions is delighted to have been confirmed as an Accredited Supplier for the Young Gifted and Talented programme, which is under contract to the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and delivered through the CfBT Education Trust, a registered charitable organisation which is committed to improving education for public benefit.

This partnership will allow the engaging and innovative opportunities for learning that Nisai provides to be accessed by a range of gifted and talented individuals across the UK through the Nisai Virtual Academy.

Elise Lewis, Programme Director at the Young Gifted and Talented programme commented, “As Programme Director, I am delighted to welcome Nisai to the Young Gifted & Talented programme. They join us at an exciting time, with more and more learners engaging with our e-learning opportunities designed for those who enjoy the stretch and challenge of gifted and talented education outside the classroom. Nisai bring a wealth of experience in providing bespoke online learning solutions and we are looking forward to their participation in the programme.”

By focusing on the individual needs of each learner, the Nisai Virtual Academy is able to cater for specific learning styles and offer flexible provision moulded around the requirements of each young person and is suitable both as an alternative or to compliment mainstream schools and colleges.

The Nisai Virtual Academy provides an inspiring online environment in which gifted and talented young people can participate in a range of courses designed to challenge, motivate and engage, helping them to reach their full potential.

The online learning communities, which lie at the heart of the Nisai Virtual Academy, provide a safe and secure platform for learners to interact, develop relationships, share and collaborate without many of the pressures faced by students in a mainstream setting.

The scope of provision offered by the Nisai Virtual Academy includes live, fully interactive online lessons with Nisai’s fully trained, subject specialist teachers. Due to the interactive nature of the lessons, students are afforded a more personal, one-to-one experience than is often available in school or college, enabling each learner’s individual learning style and preferences to be catered for.

By grouping students according to ability, rather than by age, The Nisai Virtual Academy enables young people to participate in courses which consistently challenge and expand their thinking in a highly engaging way, enabling these students to progress at a pace that reflects their ability.
