Get Set for 2012

6 Jul 2009
Following Team GB’s fantastic achievements at the Beijing Olympics last year, with a final overall ranking of 4th, expectations are high for the next games to be held in London in 2012.

The Get Set initiative aims to involve children and young people in the build up to the games and encourage the Olympic and Paralympic values of friendship, respect, courage, excellence, determination, inspiration and equality.

Becoming part of the Get Set Network is a chance for students to demonstrate and be recognised for the projects and activities their school is involved in that reflects one or more of these values.

Projects already organised by students at schools around the country include community volunteering programmes and fundraising events.

The Get Set website contains information and some great resources for all ages of students as well as details about how to join and participate in the Get Set Network. Visit the Get Set website here
