I just wanted to say thanks. As you may know my son has been out of a school setting for 2 years due to his anxiety. During that time we have tried a number of different ways to engage him in education. All have failed. He struggled at first with the Nisai lessons but in the short time he has attended we have seen a big change.
First, he has been willing to ask for help when he hasn’t understood something - this is something he has always found difficult and has prevented him from learning.
Second, yesterday he attended the lesson without either me or my wife being sat with him to encourage him and help explain what he needs to do. These 2 things might seem small but for him they are huge. The sense of achievement he has gained from being able to achieve, has made him feel good about himself - again something that is not common.
He actually looks forward to attending. We expect there to be set-backs but for now, to see him attending a lesson with a smile on his face and giving the lesson tasks his full attention is great to see.
