Job Description

The Nisai Virtual Academy is looking to recruit highly motivated graduates or newly qualified teachers who are passionate about education. We seek applicants who want to make a difference and an impact to the lives of students who cannot access mainstream education.

Nisai’s live and interactive lessons are delivered to students around the country via our bespoke online platform. Our students consist of learners with different abilities and varying backgrounds. Teachers help students to engage in education and work towards achieving successful outcomes.

You will be part of a dynamic team of teachers who provide learning solutions from year 6 up to year 11 students who learn from home or within school.

The successful applicant will work towards a level 5 Teaching and Learning Diploma as part of their continued professional development, with mentor support provided by experienced, qualified teachers. Technical training you need to deliver our lessons to a very high standard via the online platform will also be provided.

Nisai is committed to safeguarding and promoting every student’s welfare and we expect all staff to share this commitment. This position will be based in our Stockton-on-Tees office with working hours from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Teachers receive up to 62 days of paid annual leave.


The successful applicants will require:

  • To be educated to degree level
  • An enhanced DBS check – the ability to apply for this can be provided by Nisai
  • A willingness to learner and commitment to study towards qualifications (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills (essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (essential)
  • Experience of teaching or a certificate in education (desirable)
  • Knowledge of special education needs (desirable)
