Nisai Global School Opens the Academic Year 2024-2025: A Celebration of Equity in Diversity

On 29th August 2024, Nisai Global School (NGS) kicked off the academic year 2024-2025 with a grand virtual Opening Ceremony themed “Equity in Diversity: The Liberation of Inclusion.” The event marked NGS’s 5th year in the global education market and Nisai Group’s 28th year of pioneering inclusive and equitable education across the globe.

A warm welcome and speeches from esteemed representatives

The ceremony opened with a heartwarming welcome video from the Nisai Team, followed by a beautiful musical performance delivered by Nisaier Nguyễn Nhật Hoa, a talented student from Vietnam, setting an uplifting tone for the event.

In the event, Mr Dhruv Patel, Founder and CEO of Nisai Group, delivered a powerful speech, reflecting on the achievements of the past year and sharing Nisai’s vision for the future. His words highlighted Nisai’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive education to students worldwide, no matter their location or circumstances.

Ms Carol Cao from the British Council followed, reaffirming the strong and enduring partnership between the British Council and Nisai Group. She emphasised their shared mission of supporting students with globally recognised qualifications and assessments.

Mr Kevin O’Neill, Head of Education at Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM), spoke about Nisai’s recognition as an IQM Centre of Excellence and how it has played a crucial role in promoting inclusion, equity, and belonging for all learners.

Mr Paul Keenleyside, Executive Director of Nisai Education Trust, shared insightful thoughts on the Trust’s work in furthering educational opportunities for underserved communities, underscoring Nisai’s far-reaching impact.

Celebrating five years of success with students and parents

The ceremony continued with a special video presentation, recapping five years of Nisai Global School’s journey and achievements. This moving visual tribute showcased the growth of NGS and the positive impact it has had on students around the world.

Following the video, the MC officially announced the opening of the new academic year.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of students with outstanding achievements. Leo Jay Briccocola from India was honoured for his exceptional academic performance, and a video from Japanese student Soshi was played, celebrating their accomplishments.

Ms Sharina Yunus, a parent from Asia, gave an inspiring speech, sharing her thoughts on how Nisai’s inclusive approach has benefitted her child and countless other students across the region.

Partners from around the world also contributed to the celebration. Mr Stephen Sargent from Tosajuku School in Japan and Ms. Nguyen Linh Chi from SunUs Education in Vietnam, both key partners of Nisai, expressed their pride in the collaboration and excitement for the future.

Ms Lesley Laws, Head of Teaching and Learning at Nisai, represented the teachers with an encouraging speech, reinforcing the importance of dedication and passion in guiding students towards success.

The ceremony concluded on a high note with a musical performance by Nisaier Kiana Somura from Japan, whose talent left a lasting impression on the audience.

Looking forward to the new academic year

With the announcement of the ceremony’s closing, the event wrapped up, leaving attendees feeling inspired and excited for the year ahead. The ceremony successfully embodied the theme of “Equity in Diversity,” celebrating the unity and shared goals of Nisai’s global community.

As NGS embarks on another academic year, we wish all students, teachers, and partners a year filled with learning, growth, and success. Together, we will continue to strive for excellence in inclusive education.
