Nisai is an online school providing specialist learning support for children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We work with parents, local authorities, and schools to deliver the provisions set out in each plan, ensuring every learner receives the education and support they are entitled to.
We know how challenging the Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) process can be. With an EHCP, the fees are paid for by the local authority and not the parent, but from getting the plan agreed upon and issued, to managing annual reviews, it can feel overwhelming for both parents and students. We’re here to help.
Whether the young person is in the assessment phase or already has an EHCP, Nisai plays a vital role in delivering the educational provisions outlined in the plan. We provide a flexible and supportive learning environment designed to meet the needs of students, whether they attend traditional schools or require alternative solutions.

An EHCP stands for Education, Health and Care Plan and it is a legally binding document that sets out the education, health, and social care support a child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) requires.
Each plan includes:
The EHCP is reviewed every year to ensure that it continues to meet the child’s needs.
At Nisai, we can offer specialist SEN support by assisting parents through the EHCP assessment process.
Before the EHCP is issued
If your child is going through an EHC needs assessment, Nisai can help you and your local authority understand the options available. We offer practical advice on flexible provision, share evidence of progress, and draft plans personalised to your children’s special educational needs that match the draft EHCP requirements.
After the EHCP is issued
When a final EHCP plan is in place and the local authority agrees with the document, our role is to deliver the special educational provision described in the plan. We align our teaching and support with the outcomes set, ensuring your child receives consistent help and additional support where needed. We also prepare detailed reports to feed into each annual review, so the plan stays relevant and effective.
Nisai is recognised by the Department for Education under Section 41 of the Children and Families Act 2014. This means:
Parents and professionals can be confident that our provision meets national standards for SEND learning support.
Nisai provides EHCP support for students aged 16–25, including:
Our post-16 provision is designed to help young people stay engaged, complete qualifications, and take confident steps into their future.
Choosing the right SEND school to deliver your child’s EHCP is an important decision. At Nisai, we combine recognised accreditation with years of experience supporting children and young people through tailored online learning. Our approach is designed to give families confidence that their child’s education, health, and care needs will be fully supported.
