“I would like to share with you my absolute joy in presenting two very worthy students with their very first Units of Sound Plus Nisai Certificate, for recognition of dedicated learning of the essential pre – stages of ‘picture – sound – name’: incorporating simultaneous visual, oral and auditory sequential narration of the alphabet.
Units of Sound, now incorporating Units of Sound Plus, has shown itself to lead in literacy learning, using structured and cumulative, multi-sensory literacy strategies.
Based on the Active Literacy Kit (ALK), by Walter Bramley, these early stages of Units of Sound Plus provide the first steps on the ‘Literacy Learning Ladder’. Units of Sound Plus opens a new window of confidence and helps students understand their own, unique, metacognitive processing, so that they can realise their true potential.
