Recognising Strength Across Teaching, Support and Outcomes

The latest OEAS report highlights several key strengths within Nisai Virtual Academy’s provision. Among the findings, inspectors noted that:

“Teachers know their subject in depth and use high-quality resources to deliver skilfully designed lessons.”

“Staff have highly positive relationships with parents/carers and pupils.”

“Pupils’ self-confidence and attitudes to learning improve considerably during their time at Nisai Virtual Academy Limited.”

“Senior leaders focus on the all-round development of each pupil.”

“A large majority of pupils experience positive outcomes.”

These findings reflect Nisai’s commitment to delivering online education that supports not only academic achievement, but also the wider personal development, engagement and confidence of every learner.

A Broad Curriculum and Personalised Approach

The report also recognised the breadth of our curriculum, noting that the range of learning opportunities now exceeds those prescribed within the standards.
Inspectors highlighted the positive impact of our teaching approach, wellbeing support and personalised provision on learners’ progress, confidence and engagement. This recognition reinforces our belief that education works best when it is tailored to the individual needs of each young person.

At Nisai, we remain committed to creating learning environments that are inclusive, responsive and designed to help learners thrive.

Safeguarding and Wellbeing at the Centre of Our Provision

Safeguarding arrangements were found to be appropriate, with leaders maintaining:

  • Robust systems
  • Thorough oversight
  • A strong culture of pupil safety and wellbeing

For learners accessing online education, feeling safe, supported and understood is essential. We are pleased that the report acknowledges the care and attention given to safeguarding and wellbeing across the academy.

Positive Feedback from Parents, Learners and Local Authorities

We were particularly proud to see the positive feedback from those who matter most.
The report notes that:

  • Parents described Nisai as a provision they “can’t fault”
  • Learners described Nisai as “fantastic” and said they “love the school”
  • Local authority officers recognised leaders’ “clarity and promptness of communication”, with one commissioner commenting: “I can’t praise them highly enough.”

This feedback reflects the strength of the relationships we build with learners, families, schools, trusts and local authorities, and the importance of working in partnership to achieve positive outcomes.

A Reflection of the Nisai Community’s Dedication

These findings reflect the dedication of our staff, governors, partners and wider community, all of whom work tirelessly to ensure that every learner has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

We would like to thank our partner schools, trusts, local authorities, families and learners for their continued trust and support.
