Nisai Global School

Nisai Global School (NGS) is a British Virtual School teaching international curriculum.  It is a home-schooling solution that builds on the proven model from the UK used and developed since 1996. NGS teaches a curriculum to support students from the age of 8 through to 18 and providing pathways to IGCSEs, A Levels and beyond. Nisai Global School offers extracurricular and skills-based programmes, with a specific focus on pathways to university, leadership and employment skills. Through our online school, our students can study from any location and access live, interactive lessons in smaller than average classes. A personalised approach to learning means that students can be timetabled on ability rather than age meaning we can support learners with high learning potential.

Nisai Global School puts pupils at the centre of our school by creating an inclusive and student-focused environment where every pupil can work towards and achieve their personal aspirations.

Imagine all the positive aspects of school being supported and delivered online. Structure is important to provide routine and consistency and to ensure students are prepared to move on to the structure that is provided in schools, universities and the workplace. No webcams in our lessons remove the issue of face-to-face social anxiety and anonymity means our students can focus on their education rather than the distractions associated with classrooms. Multiple communication channels support the development of soft skills and self-confidence. Recordings help for the purposes of teacher development, safeguarding and to help students who have barriers relating to processing speed.

We know that children and young people have a certain attention span so to address this we provide shorter lessons, usually 30 minutes in length to support them and learners with Attention Deficit and Hyper-Activity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) learners. With smaller class sizes, students benefit from interaction with their peers and stronger relationships with their teachers.

All of our classes are live teaching. This means you can ask questions, discuss issues, and receive feedback in real-time, online in our virtual classroom. Lessons are always engaging and fully interactive. Students use a headset to hear the teacher and participate either verbally using a microphone or by typing in the chat box.

The experience of learning in a virtual classroom is just like being in a real classroom, but students are attending classes from home. At the end of every lesson the teacher sets a homework assignment; these are completed in conjunction with the student’s notes, the lesson recording and a range of textbooks.

To be admitted to Nisai Global School, prospective students must demonstrate:

  • English proficiency: The minimum requirement for students to enroll in Pre-Lower Secondary is lower A1 level in CEFR
  • Academic potential: We recognize prior learning, so school reports for two years prior to the application for enrolment are required. Our Academic Team will determine whether the students have sufficient prior learning to enter a course or even to progress to a higher level. The students may also enter a course at a particular level on a trial basis.
  • Sustainability for online study: We require our students to be 8 years old or older to be able to use the required equipment to assess our virtual learning platform. We prefer our students to be dedicated, focused and organised. For SEN students, we also require a psychological assessment report.
